The Cookery School...

The Devils Menu Boutique Cookery School was officially launched in July 2014 by chef John Whelan and his partner Elora in Graiguenamanagh  County Kilkenny (Ireland). Only few minutes walk from the River Barrow, the impressive Duiske Abbey and with stunning views of Mount Brandon the humble beginnings of the Cookery School reached RTE, The Irish Times and was nominated as best Cookery School in Ireland 2017 by the Restaurant Association of Ireland.

The Cookery School was set up for you to see and taste food in a Chef’s Table format. This is to help you understand the process, the look, the smells and the taste of the food being cooked, giving you a full on sensory experience. The relaxed and social format of the class makes it fun and entertaining and appeals to all foodie levels and skills.

Our personalised service and tailor made menus ensures not only great value for money but also that you will have a great time with us.

The Cookery School is temporary closed and moving to a new location in Graiguenamanagh in the next few months under John's ownership.

The Chef...

Keep the secret...

The new Cookery School is getting upgraded and has finally found a new location in Graiguenamanagh!! We hope to start the building work in the next two to three months and share with you this new chapter and the highs and the lows of creating a dream kitchen.

John & Elora of The Devils Menu brought spectacle, drama and fun in equal measure to compliment our product demonstrations at Photofest 2014. We received an unprecedented volume of compliments from customers and event organizers about their presence at our trade stand. They performed with professionalism, friendliness and artistic panache. John’s passion for what he does is perfectly complimented by Elora’s evident qualities in Marketing and Event Management. I’m confident that The Devils Menu will soon become a household name.
